Kairit Tammets is Professor of Educational Technology at Tallinn University. Her research focuses on teacher professional learning and on how intelligent technologies, learning analytics, and AI-supported learning environments can strengthen teachers’ professional judgement, development, and practice. Her work is grounded in the learning sciences and explores how technology can support teachers in designing, enacting, and improving learning. Kairit is actively engaged in the international educational technology community. She serves on the Executive Committee of EATEL and has contributed to the EC-TEL conference in several roles over the years, serving as General Chair in 2026. She leads several research projects that connect teacher professional development, learning analytics, and AI in education, including EffecTive and TAICo.
